Weekly News: August 25,2011
Well after a year i am finally back!
The news for this week is:
"Samir Nasri moves to Manchester City for the fans"
After being transfered to Roberto Mancini's club, he states that he moved there for the fans. Talk about a diss to the Arsenal fans who cheered him on for some years.
"Champions League Group Stage Draw"
The groups are:
GROUP A |
---|
Bayern Munich |
Villarreal |
Manchester City |
Napoli |
GROUP B |
---|
Inter Milan |
CSKA Moscow |
Lille |
Trabzonspor |
GROUP C |
---|
Manchester United |
Benfica |
Basle |
Otelul Galati |
GROUP D |
---|
Real Madrid |
Lyon |
Ajax |
Dinamo Zagreb |
GROUP E |
---|
Chelsea |
Valencia |
Bayer Leverkusen |
Genk |
GROUP F |
---|

GROUP G |
---|
Porto |

Zenit St Petersburg |
APOEL |
GROUP H |
---|
Barcelona |
AC Milan |
BATE |
Viktoria Plzen |
Group A seems to be the hardest group to get out of and Group H should be a breeze for Barca and Milan
"La Liga players call off strike"
Looks like they will not pass the NFL for the longest strike this year... What a relief for La Liga fans like myself.
"Manchester City is in the lead for the premier league"
Looks like all that money finally pays off for the first two games...
"Adebayor goes to Tottenham from Man City on a loan"
I honestly don't know what Mancini was thinking with this deal...
Thats it for this week, come back again, and don't forget to click on the ads!
Thanks

UPDATE: World Cup 2010
My computer was having some troubles here so I haven't been able to update any thing here
Anyway our guess of Spain winning the world cup is still in the running.
World Cup Final analysis:
Spain: Best Finish: 4th Place
Netherlands: Best Finish: 2nd Place
Spain key players:
Carles Puyol, he must have a good defensive match against a high powering Netherlands offense
Xavi: Open up some opportunities for David Villa and Pedro Rodriguez
Iker Casillas: Must make fantastic saves from point blank range.
Netherlands key players:
Wesley Sneijder: He is everything for the Dutch, must get good shots and set up opportunities for other players.
Dirk Kuyt: Needs to be fast and efficient against this tough Spain defense
Our Winner is: drumroll please... Spain!!
Paul the Octopus has not made a decision so far
